On August, 2000, during a presentation to their membership, the Westchester Chapter of the Marine Corps League gave a $100 donation. Producer Noemi Figueroa with Commandant Glenn Sadowski. The Bronx Chapter headed by Commandant Bill Connell also came through with a $200 donation. |

On October 16, 2000 a presentation was sponsored by the Arecibo Vet Center in Puerto Rico at Casa Ulanga which helped raise $200 in donations. Local artist Edgar Vega (extreme right in photo) donated a painting of the 65th to be raffled.
